Invalid <PostagePackage>.

eBay rejects the package type for this category or shipping service. Pick a package type the site allows.

Why this happens

eBay is rejecting the "Package Type" for the listing. Why eBay enforces this: Carriers only accept certain package types for each service and category, for example flat-rate boxes for specific services. eBay refuses a package type the chosen service cannot carry. When it usually happens: It usually appears on eBay Australia and eBay UK when a package type from eBay US templates is reused.

How to fix it

  1. In 3Dsellers, open the listing's package settings.
  2. Switch the package type to a common one such as "Package/thick envelope" (on eBay Australia, "Mailing boxes" works for most categories).
  3. If the shipping service is tied to a specific package type (for example flat-rate boxes), change the shipping policy instead.
  4. Publish again.

How to prevent it

Keep package defaults per eBay site, and review package types when copying listings between sites.
