Why this happens

The payment method in the listing details or policy was changed, but eBay temporarily blocked this action to protect buyers who are actively engaged in purchasing your item (or to prevent changes from occurring immediately before the listing ends). Why eBay enforces this: The payment method is part of the terms a buyer accepts. eBay locks it on auctions with bids, fixed-price listings with pending offers, and listings ending within 12 hours. When it usually happens: It usually appears when a payment policy used by many listings is edited.

How to fix it

  1. Resolve open Best Offers on the listing in eBay.
  2. For an auction with a bid, wait for it to end and relist with the new payment policy.
  3. Republish from 3Dsellers once the listing is free of offers and bids.

How to prevent it

Create a new payment policy instead of editing one in use, and move listings to it as they become editable.

Example Correct Settings

The new payment policy is assigned to listings without bids or offers only.
