Duration cannot be revised.

eBay locks the listing duration when there are bids, active offers, or the listing ends within 12 hours. Relist to change it.

Why this happens

eBay blocks changes to the listing duration when the auction has bids or active Best Offers, is ending within 12 hours, is a Store item, or is a classified ad. Why eBay enforces this: Changing how long a listing runs while buyers are bidding or negotiating would change the terms they agreed to. eBay locks the duration once there are bids or offers, or in the last 12 hours. When it usually happens: It appears when a bulk action rewrites durations on all listings, including auctions that already have bids.

Example Wrong Settings

A revision sends a new duration for an auction that already has a bid.

How to fix it

  1. Leave the duration as it is on the active listing.
  2. If the duration must change, wait for the listing to end, then relist it with the new duration from 3Dsellers.
  3. If the revision was triggered by a bulk action, remove the duration field from that action so other fields still update.

How to prevent it

Leave the duration field out of routine bulk revisions, and only change it when you relist.

Example Correct Settings

Only listings without bids or offers get the new duration; the rest keep theirs until they end.
